Will this actually get my deposit back?
No one can promise an outcome, and we don't. What a statute-cited certified letter does is change the conversation: it shows your landlord you know the deadline they missed and what a court could award, and it creates delivery evidence if you do sue. Many deposit disputes settle at this stage because the math favors the tenant.
What if my landlord ignores the letter?
Your next step is usually small claims court, which is designed for people without lawyers and where filing fees are modest. Your state page explains the potential recovery; several states also make the landlord pay your attorney's fees, which makes lawyers willing to take larger cases.
How fast does it mail?
Usually the next business day after you approve the letter. Same-business-day rush is available at checkout for orders approved by 2pm Central.
What's your refund policy?
If we haven't printed your letter yet, we'll refund you in full — just email us. Once a letter has been printed and mailed, we can't unsend it, but if we got something wrong we'll correct and re-mail it at no charge. Full policy

Is my information safe?
Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number. Your case details are used to prepare your letter and send you updates about it, and are never sold. See the

My deposit is small. Is this worth it?
That's your call, and we'd rather you make it with the numbers in front of you: use the
calculator to see your state's potential recovery, then weigh the $29 fee against it. For very small deposits, your state page links the official statute so you can write your own letter for free — genuinely.
